Aloo Bhindi

Aloo Bhindi
(Potato & Lady Finger)

Aloo Bhindi


50 grms aloo (potato)
50 grms bhindi (lady finger)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp ajwain (carom seeds)
1 tsp dry mango powder 
1 tsp coriander leaves
1 tsp oil
Salt to taste


1. Wash, pat, dry & cut bhindi (lady finger) into 1/2 inch pieces. Half boil potatoes, peel & cut
     into cubes.

2. Heat oil in a kadai & add the cumin & ajwain (carom seeds) . Fry for a minute, then add the
(lady finger) & potato.

3. Mix in the salt, turmeric, chilli powder & the dry mango powder.

4. Lower the heat & cook covered till the vegetables are tender.

5. Garnish with coriander leaves & serve.
