Ingredients:



For the dough:

2 cups fine flour(maida)
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste

For the onion filling:



2 cups finely chopped onions
2 tsp fennel seeds
1/2 tsp asafoetida
2 tbsp gram flour
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp garam masala
2 tbsp chopped coriander
1 tsp oil
Salt to taste
Oil to deep fry

Method:


For the dough: 


1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl & knead into stiff dough using water.

2. Cover the dough with muslin cloth & keep aside.

For the onion filling:


1. Heat oil in a pan add fennel seeds, green chilies, onions &  stir till onions
    turn light brown.

3. Add gram flour, coriander powder, chili powder, garam masala, salt & cook
    for 2-3 mins.

4. Now add chopped coriander & mix well. Allow mixture to cool completely.

6. Divide the filling into small equal portions & keep aside.

For kachori:


1.Knead the dough  to smooth & divide into 8-10 equal sized balls.

2. Roll the dough balls into a round.Put one portion of filling in the center.

3 .Gather the edges & seal it properly & tightly.

4. Roll each filled portion into a circle taking care to ensure that the filling
    does not spill out.

5. Gently press the center of kachori with your thumb.

6. Prepare all  kachori  in same way.

7. Heat oil in a pan & deep fry kachoris till light brown from both sides.

8. Serve hot with green chutney,tamarind chutney or sauce.
